Ashley Sutton - Owner\Groomer\Boarding  

Ashley always knew she wanted to have a life which included animals. After graduating from WACO High School (Wayland, IA) in 2012, she attending Iowa State University and received a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. She specialized in companion animals and genetics. In May 2016, Ashley opened Ashley's Grooming which was located 1 mile S of Wayland in a small portable building.

In 2019, Ashley's Grooming moved into a newly built facility specifically designed for Grooming & Boarding. Ashley and her father, Jason Sutton - spent years touring numerous facilities around Iowa and Missouri, to make certain the building was perfect for the growing business and able to handle all the needs for Grooming and Boarding in SE Iowa. Now located a few miles N of Wayland, the business continues to grow and we are able to do what we love by taking care of your pets as if they were our own.

Jason Sutton - Director of Operations\Office Manager

​Jason aka 'Ashley's dad' currently resides in Wayland, IA. He grew up in Washington, IA and graduated from Williamsburg, IA. Jason served 10 years in the Air Force and in 2020 retired from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.  Jason’s favorite part of the job is meeting all the pet owners.

Chelsey Smith - Kennel Manager\Groomer

Chelsey is from Columbus Junction and has been with Ashley's Grooming & Boarding since February 2023. She is an Iowa State University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Chelsey is a great asset to AGB and is very comfortable around animals. Her favorite part of the job is 'interacting with a variety of dog & cat personalities and breeds.'

Ella Huisenga - Kennel Attendant\Grooming assistant

Ella is from Wayland and has been an amazing asset to Ashley's Grooming & Boarding since 2020. She is a graduate of Waco High School and currently attending college. She plans to return during holidays and breaks to jump right back in where she left off. Ella's favorite part of being at Ashley's is 'taking care of the boarding dogs & cats and seeing their personalities come out.'

Levi Bachman - Kennel Attendant\Maintenance

Levi is from Wayland and has been with Ashley's Grooming & Boarding since 2022. He is currently a student at Waco High School. Levi's favorite part of being at Ashley's is 'when new dogs warm up to him.'

Morgan Meyer - Kennel Attendant\Grooming Assistant

Morgan is from Wayland and has been a valuable member of Ashley's Grooming & Boarding since 2024. She is currently a student at Waco High School. Morgan's favorite part of being at Ashley's is 'meeting people and their dogs, as well as different dog breeds.'

Squishy is from Wayland and has been with AGB since 2020. He is a mini donkey at 33" and lots of personality. He loves kids, anyone who'll feed him and his special friend 'Miss Squishy'. He is approx 25 yrs old.
